Curtain Call..continued
Melvin: “It will be worth it. Every now and then, we have to sacrifice first before we are rewarded. I’m leaving on Wednesday, till then you can stay with me until you find a place.”
Mindy agrees to go.
That Tuesday night, Calvin called Mindy and decided to accept the fact that he can’t really do anything about it. They agreed on staying in touch with each other.
Mindy and Melvin arrives in New York. Mindy wanted to make sure that she finds a place as soon as possible because she feels uneasy being under the same roof with Melvin. The next day, she was able to find a place. Finally her luck was turning around. She thought maybe it was the right decision to move after all. Monday arrives and she finally moves to her own place.
Calvin hasn’t been coping with the events that have happened recently. Because of this, he lost his job, and has been seeing a therapist. He hasn’t been sleeping quite a lot either so he’s been taking sleeping pills to help him with his problem. His family even thinks that he has been acting crazy. He’s been getting really angry easily lately. He didn’t want to let Mindy know about his situation.
Mindy on the other hand has been doing great. Its almost like her luck and Calvin’s luck switched. Mindy finally landed a role and in the same play with Melvin. One night she sees Calvin in the audience and wasn’t even aware about his visit. All of a sudden they hear a scream. The audience applauded, but the casts were confused. 10 minutes later sirens can be heard and blue and red lights are reflected on the glass windows. The play was stopped, the audience was asked to leave except for the cast. Somebody has called the police because they found a dead body backstage.
Mindy finally got the chance to talk to Calvin and asked him what he was doing here.

Curtain Call.
Mindy is a liberal arts major and an aspiring actress fresh out of college. She came from a middleclass family with 2 other siblings getting ready to enter college. She is engaged to Calvin her boyfriend of 4 1/2 years and plans to get married next year. In this kind of situation, finding a job is essential. She has applied to every job that related to her major, but was rejected one after another. A change of tactic would do her good, so she applied for other jobs. She applied to be in human resource, an assistant, a manager because she has had experience with management and other non – acting related jobs. After 6 months of not having any luck, she ran into Melvin who is one of her close friends who’s in town for his dad’s birthday. They both caught up with each other and mentioned each other’s situation. Mindy found out that Mel moved to New York and has landed an acting role in Broadway.
Mindy and Mel have been friends since they were in 3rd grade. They went to high school and college together and even had the same aspirations. Being a fellow actor, they both understood each other. They’ve always had each other’s back. Their friends even thought that they could be a couple. Mel has always been very convincing. He asked Mindy to maybe try New York and see what the city has to offer her. As a good friend, she knows that he’s looking out for her and knows that he had been in the same situation. She decides to think about it.
She knew that she had to pass this decision through her family first especially her fiancĂ©e. The next day, she nervously drove to his apartment knowing that Calvin won’t be too happy about what she was going to tell him. When she arrived, he greeted her with enthusiasm.
Calvin: “So are you excited today?”
Mindy was clueless as to what he was talking about, and just gave him a bewildered reaction.
Calvin: “It’s our 5 year anniversary, did you forget?
Mindy: “I’m so sorry dear; I’ve just been really stressed out. I just got out of college, I’m looking for a job, but nobody would hire me. It’s so frustrating”
Calvin: “Don’t worry, you’ll get through it. It’s only a matter of time.”
Mindy: “Easy for you to say, you have a career, you’re an engineer, you’ve got everything laid out already.”
Calvin: “I’m just trying to comfort you”
Mindy: “I know”
Mindy didn’t know that he prepared dinner, and planned out the whole evening for perfection. She didn’t want to ruin the night, so she put aside her problem and just enjoyed the rest of the day. After dinner, they went to Gateau Maison for wine and dessert. They then decided to take a stroll at the park. Meanwhile, Mindy is still thinking about how she’s going to tell him about New York, and at the same time Melvin happened to be at the park doing his weekend jogging. Mindy sees Mel approaching them, afraid that he might mention his offer to her; she tried to pull Calvin away and ignore Mel. Too late, he already saw Mel, and was waving at him. They laughed and talked, and at the end Mel was in a hurry so they decided to part ways. Mindy was so relieved that he didn’t mention anything about the offer, and just as he was leaving:
Melvin: “Oh, Mindy by the way, have you decided if you want to move to New York?”
Calvin’s face turns from cheery to baffled.
Mindy: “Umm, I’ll let you know.”
All of a sudden, a perfect night has turned into gray. She was not expecting this to happen. She explained to him her situation, and how she might want to try expanding her options. Calvin knows he can’t go with her, and definitely can’t stop her. That night ended in a sour note. His hopes of marrying her soon has crumbled, even the tiniest flake of imagination has been dissolved.
Calvin: “I guess we’ll see what happens.”
Mindy left without saying anything.

Captain Owl, Creepy Commercial
I just saw this commercial about Captain Morgan, and I dont know what the developers of the commercial were thinking. It just pretty much proves that drunk people can't judge what is right or wrong. If I see this man owl on the street, i'm probably going to run away. This commercial itself is funny, but they're just too empty for me.
You know its kinda Bad, But its Good
I admit that I've watched this probably about ten times since this came out. I even posted it on my facebook page saying how adorable he is. So what drew me to watch this again and again and never get tired of listening to him?
The kid isn't even singing, and thats what I like about it. Its almost like an abstract painting that you need to decode to understand the emotion the artist is trying to convey. His jibberish lyrics still works with the accoustics which overshadows it in a good way. The real emotion of the song has been changed. If one was to listen to the original I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, your heart will melt. This song to me means a lot, because this reminds me of when me and my significant other started dating, and just to hear the words "I'm Yours" gives me an extra boost of trust in the relationship. But if you watch this video, you don't get the same effect, instead it makes you laugh. Obviously because of his sill facial expressions, but also the way he performs the act. He is so naive that he has all the condfidence in the world, that he isnt afraid to express what he feels is the right way to convey the song. We should learn from him, having a kid-like confidence could help us.

Yes, I do want the Emperor 1510 Workstation
Ultimate luxury package for nerds. We all deserve something better than a couch, or our wooden desks from surfing the web to sleepless nights of CSS coding. Surfing the web and or working will be something that we all will be waiting for the next morning. We will never get enough of this. By taking a practice that we dont like to do, and designing something to improve the relationship with that practice is a great idea to get the best out of us. If one's too comfortable to get up from this, that person will just be working all night finishing all the work they need to do. Talk about an overhaul for procrastinators. Whoever is reading this, I know deep inside you want this, well you better start saving up because it will only set you back about $5000. Good luck.
